27/08/08 - It's all systems go as Pressure enter this years prestigious Orange Unsigned competition, whats the prize I hear you ask?  Simple – a record deal.  And not with any label – with Universal, home to Razorlight, Amy Winehouse and the Kaiser Chiefs to name but a few.

Pressure would also get a £50,000 advance, a single released right after the final show and a huge promotional campaign put behind the band.

Once the entry deadline closes on 31 August, there will be a two-week online voting period until 14th September.

09/04/08 - Pressure recently played at The Derby Assembly Rooms marking a ten-year milestone for the group. Founding member Ben Liverman was asked to make a Video Nation piece for the BBC, detailing the gig and its relevance and importance to him and the band.

This is now available for you to read about and watch on the BBC Radio Derby website here, or by clicking the Video Nation logo below. It might even feature on the Big Screen in Derby’s Market Place or on the television between BBC shows, so look out!

10/02/08 - Pressure have entered UPSTAGED on BBC Three, The aim of the show is to come up with an idea or act to entertain the nation for 6 hours. The most entertaining acts will have the chance to make it through to perform live on a Stage in Bristol, ultimately with the chance of winning £10,000.

The Online Community (thats you!) will determine a Contender's overall ranking. The top placed Contenders each day will have the chance to take part in a daily vote; the winner of which will be the next Challenger to take part in the live show in Bristol.

The live event will take place between 3.30pm and 9.30pm in real time, Monday to Friday from 4th February 2008. Online users will be able to vote by rating what takes place on each of the stages every three minutes from 3.45pm until 9.45pm or whenever live streaming is available. The act with the highest cumulative rating over the day will be the Champion for that day.

10/01/08 - Firstly I'd like to say Happy new year to you all, I hope you all had a blinding holiday.  
Pressure are looking to branch out this year and are looking for a dedicated street team to help us do this.  Tasks will include spreading the word about Pressure online and with posters and flyers.  You can expect free Pressure tickets, cds, tshirts and a lot of Pressure love and thanks if you sign up.  Please sign up via our street team button on the fans page and let us know how you would like to help.

13/09/07- The premiere at the Metro was a success and was enjoyed by all.  Pressure screened "Abducted Today", "stop and Stare" and "Start Again".  As well as the meet the fans section.

06/08/07- Pressure are screening their debut music video "Abducted Today" at the Derby Metro Cinema, on the 12th September 2007, 7pm - 8pm. This will include live and studio video's of "Stop and Stare" and "Start Again", fan Vox Pops and an interview with the band.
Admission is by guestlist confirmation, which will be made available to the media and Pressure's fan base, for free. To get on the list please email ben.

02/03/07 - Pressure made it through to the semi final,of the IME battle of the bands last night with "Zenith". It was a tough heat against some good bands, but Pressure will face "Zenith" again in the semi final, on Thursday 15th March. Hope you can make it, it's set to be a corker! 06/02/07 - It seems like ages since we had something to tell you about, but the wait is over. Pressure are pleased to tell you that we are booked into The Hive recording studios in Derby, to record our new demo/EP. We hope to release it in late March early April time. The final tracks are still to be decided, but we have agreed to re record "Abducted Today" for the music video. Watch this space.

05/12/06 - Pressure are climbing the charts, in the new Channel 4 popworld promotes website.  Every time a new person looks, listens or downloads a ringtone from our page, we get votes. The more votes we get the higher we go in the charts. If we make it to the top of the charts, then we get on Popworld on Channel 4!, plus loads of professional help (and boy do we need help!), how cool is that!

10/11/06 - Pressure continue in the movie making scence, at the Insomnia gig on Monday the 20th November. Paddy from Creative Edge Production, is coming down to film the gig, which will be used in the forthcoming 'Abducted Today' music video.

01/11/06 - Pressure have made a cracking start to their music video, with some quality live footage from the Vaults gig as well as some funny vox pops from you lot! The band will continue filming, with Abducted Today being made into a full-length music video. Hopefully the whole lot will be ready for Christmas. Many thanks to Owen and Paddy from Creative Edge Production, for their work on it so far.

12/09/06 - Moyst in association with the National Gig Guide have teamed up with Thunder to offer bands the opportunity to become the support acts on Thunder's forthcoming tour.

The competition will be based on voting via text, and the bands that get the most votes will be put in the frame. After the closing date (Oct. 30th), Thunder will choose the bands they like the best, and the winners will be offered the slots.

19/07/06 - Pressure have grabbed a spot at this years Y-Not Festival. After hearing great reports about this new weekend event, Pressure have done well to get on, with over 50 bands already being turned away. The festival runs from the 4th - 6th of August, Pressure will be playing on the sunday. For full details see the Y-NotFestival site . There are still some tickets available, at only £20 for the whole weekend.

26/06/06 - Last night Pressure got through to the final of the Battle of The Bands competition, at the Diamond club in Sutton - in - Ashfield. Pressure played third on the night and gave it all they had, ending their set with a high octane performance of Rotaway Town. The Final awaits Pressure next Sunday, on the 2nd of July at The Diamond. We hope to see you there for a cracking night out. 
          
05/06/06 - It's none stop this month, we can hardly finish telling you one piece of news before the next.
Last night Pressure graced the fantastic Diamond club in Sutton - in - Ashfield. Competing against two other bands in the final heat of the contest, Pressure opened the night with a blistering twenty-five minute set. The room was hot, the band was cooking and the crowd warmed to everything we did, so thanks to all who supported us.
The result? Pressure are through to the semi final on June the 25th!

03/06/06 - Pressure got through to the semi final of the Rock & Blues show on thursday the 1st of june. The gig was held at the Queens Hall in Nuneaton, a great venue which raised the bands performance to the ace set up provided. Pressure return there for the semi on the 17th june. 07/05/06 - Pressure topped the Vaults gig last night, with a stonking set at The Moon and Sixpence, in Glossop. The band all agreed that this was the best crowd they have played to, ever! Thanks to those who travelled through the hills to see the band, lets hope the Thirsty Scholar gig can live up to this one.
Pressure look forward to returning to Glossop soon. 

14/04/06 - Pressure played their best gig of the year so far last night, at The Vaults, Derby. A really good turn out mixed with a lively set was bound to get the night going, and the 'Mickleover Massive' did not disappoint with their dancing and singing, a big thanks to all who came, see you at the next one.
The new tshirts sold well, so get to a gig and pick yourself a bargain or get on the merchandise page!

10.03.06 - Pressure won the semi final of the IME BOTB competition last night, despite stiff competition. Ripping through the last spot of the night with venom, Pressure secured their place at the final, on the 1st of april. Venue details to be made available soon.

03.03.06 - Pressure get 'Track of the Day' on garageband!

25.02.06 - Pressure get to the semi finals!

Pressure played an electrifying set at the Vaults in Ilkeston, ripping through "Abducted Today" and "Stop and Stare" and climaxing with "One Way Ticket". It was enough to convince the crowd and judges to put Pressure through to the semi finals, to take place on Thursday 9th March, at the Sir John Warren.
22.02.06 - Pressure rising, Garageband.com

Pressure entered the biggest online, unsigned chart at garageband.com. Their track "Rotaway Town" has stormed into the top 100, with reviews from Canada, USA, South Africa and even Norway!

11.02.06 - Pressure storm the Town Mill, Mansfield

At 20:20, Friday 10th Feb 2006, Pressure took to the stage in explosive style opening the evening for headliners Lucky Bullet. Energy was oozing from the stage as the band ripped through a storming 30 minute set which saw the likes of Abducted Today, Living a Lie and Death or Glory tear the Town Mill apart. A moderate audience were whipped into a frenzy as Pressure captivated, conquered and celebrated a passionate, raw and supercharged return to the stage.

18.01.06 - Travellers Rest

Pressure unveiled their new line-up for the first time on Wednesday 18th Jan, 2006 at the Traveller's Rest Inn, Derby. The performance was a closed-doors event attended by close family, friends and fans of the band; it was a chance to see the band perform together for the first time outside of rehearsals. 2 x 45 minute sets were performed.

Pressure are pleased to announce the arrival of their new rhythm section, namely bassist
Rob Hales, and drummer, Jonathan Smith.

Having been out of the limelight for a number of months, Pressure are back as a four-piece again, and are more determined than ever to make their energetic presence felt again.

Pressure will be performing a behind closed-doors warm-up gig for family and close friends in January, before hitting the stage at Mansfield's Town Mill, 10th Feb 2006.

In-line with Pressure's return is the launch of the all new Pressure website. Still in its
infancy, the website will be hosting news from the Pressure camp, gig dates, downloadable
